Boris Becker
Together with Candida Höfer, Axel Hütte, Thomas Struth and let’s not forget Andreas Gursky, Boris Becker (the other one !) is one of the disciples of the famous couple Bernd and Hilla Becher. For more than forty years they have been recording the heritage of an industrial past. As the founders of what has come to be known as the ‘Becher school’ they have brought their influence in a unique way to bear on generations of documentary photographers and artists.
The work of BB, across a timespan of 25 years, will be on display in the photo museum in Antwerp starting on 24.09.2010 until 16.01.2011.
A must see!
The day after
I had a really very pleasant evening at the opening of my expo last night. Even though the setting took place in good old Antwerp, people from France and even from New Zealand (!) were present; Next to all Belgian guys and girls of course. 🙂
I also met some other interesting people; amongst others a journalist, a person representing cultural events for the city of Antwerp, fellow photographers and along the way some new fans.
Anyway, thank you all for being there and sharing your thoughts with me.
Throwing a big bear back to you!
