Our book: R.S. 1920 – 2012

Yesterday unexpectedly R. passed away.

I photographed her earlier this year within my series ‘Our Book’.

I remember me as a child, visiting her store and after buying the necessary groceries, spending my time in the toys section. Just recently she told me about her early twenties, when she was a young teacher for a short while.

It’s rare how certain people are able to crawl beneath one’s skin.

The nights – selection – update locations

My ‘night’ work can be seen throughout the entire summer on A0 format at the following outdoor locations:

The nights – selection – correction

The nights – ‘De Nachten’ – is the result of a series of workshops concerning night photography.

The selected images – including  ‘3′  of yours truly – will be on tour during the summer of 2012 and can be found  ‘in large format’  at the following locations:

• Antwerp: July, Zomerfabriek, Minkelerstraat, 2600 Berchem – exact dates will follow
• Limburg: August 7-9, Z33, Zuivelmarkt 33, 3500 Hasselt, on the outside walls
• East-Flanders: August 17-19, Azaleapark, Achterstraat, 9040 Sint-Amandsberg
