The eye of the beholder

Just the other day I was over at the scrap-metal business to dump some of my old iron. When leaving the site, I noticed both these signs and decided to take a couple of snaps with my iphone, since I was so intrigued by the normal-sized sign accompagnied by his or her bigger brother. A mere 20 seconds later the site responsible came up to me asking what the hell I was doing. Apparently he thought I was making a photographic inventory of the surrounding fences in order to find an easy entry to … well, you know.

And the 2 signs?

Well, once upon a time, when only the little normal-sized sign was present, lots of cars leaving the dump didn’t notice it and took a right turn. After a while the owner placed the bigger sign, but again, a few people still didn’t see it. I guess, they must be on the lookout for the ‘biggest’ sign out there by now …

Yes, I made it – one entire 31-days month without any blogging …  Time to get going again.

My ‘night’ work can still be seen throughout the end of the summer at the following outdoor locations:

  • August 22-September 5, Beach Club Knokke, Lichttorenplein, Knokke
  • September 7-15, Ciné Rialto, Langestraat 39, Oostende
  • September 16-30, Zinnema, Veeweide 24-26, Brussels

The corresponding image was made at the Zomerbar in Antwerp.

Exotic Germany

with one comment

Some time ago, I was in Germany for some Bremen banana business (BBB). Upon returning home we had to wait quite a long time in the departure hall before finally taking off and while having more than enough time to kill in the meantime, I stumbled upon these two black massage seats, which to me looked quite dangerous. Right in the middle between the two love seats, a plastic palm tree … grew. Now I wonder whether waiting or stranded passengers are more likely to be massaged with or without the tree?

Leipzig – what is beneath the covers?

with 3 comments

A couple of weeks ago I was in Leipzig – Germany, where I took the underneath picture with my old p&s camera in the gigantic train station in the city center.

Can you tell what is beneath the covers?
